In addition to the applications discussed in detail, System WT fasteners are ideal for a wide range of other timber-to-timber jobs:


Tension/compression joints:



Thanks to the high strength of the fasteners, dimensions can be kept to a minimum. This offers clear advantages for new-build; but even more so in restoration work.


Pressure glueing

Thanks to different thread pitches, the fasteners can generate a pressure build-up as they are inserted. This can be used to spread glue.


Reinforcement for tensile stresses perpendicular to grain

The tensile strength of wood across the grain is extremely limited. This often leads to cross grain distortion or splitting.

Thanks to the double threading, cross grain problems can be addressed quickly, safely and invisibly.
