Large amounts of energy are consumed at SFS to improve the quality of employees' workplaces (climate, air, space, etc.) in the production plants, workshops and offices.
Driving factors:
The annual increase in production areas and workplace improvements with the relevant ventilating systems result in continuously rising energy consumption. The ongoing expansion of the product range and the energy-intensive miniaturisation of products as well as short production runs currently make it impossible to prevent the rise in energy consumption.
Savings:
Significant increases in efficiency are usually achieved primarily in new buildings and when equipment is replaced. Especially in heat recovery, but in some cases also in electricity consumption, where economies are achieved as a result of optimisation measures.
Enhanced efficiency when equipment is replaced
Electricity savings can be achieved by means of improved energy efficiency when production equipment is replaced. Each new acquisition is planned with reference to an environmental checklist.
Rising energy consumption despite optimisation.
Eco-balance excluding business and personnel travel to date.
