Save time and money with the TORX PLUS® system

  • 100% longer useful life for screw driving bits.
  • 25% greater torque transfer.
  • Improved resistance to torsional strain.

TORX PLUS® - offers the user improved screw security with reduced wear on screw driving bits

A core concept in the design of the
TORX PLUS® is the 0° contact angle.
This means that the radial load is totally eliminated. In other words, the entire applied torque is converted into torsional energy. There is no loss of energy at the point of contact.

Reduced Bit-consumption and less down-time save production and assembly costs and increase the productivity.

Improved screw security

The ability to transfer greater force to the screw leads of course to improved screw security. But this advantage also applies when it comes to releasing existing screw connections. As with TORX® heads, TORX PLUS® enables the operator to work with a reduced contact pressure. That means your operators can work for long periods without getting tired!

Torque breaking strain for TORX® T30 min. 37,4 Nm; TORX PLUS® 30IP min. 47,2 Nm.

Reduced Bit Consumption Results in Direct Saving

The TORX PLUS® system enables around 25% greater torque to be applied. Alternatively, using the same torque, you can carry out twice as many fixing operations as with the conventional TORX®-head. That means, of course, that tool change-over times are halved; so is the associated production down-time.

Tamper resistant TORX PLUS® - for high security applications

The modified design features of the Tamper resistant TORX PLUS® head make for a high-security fixing. The lobes are reduced from six to five and a centre pin is added. The only way to open this is with a special tool. The pin in the middle prevents accidental damage by the attempted use of alternative tools!

TORX PLUS® with AUTOSERT® - for high-speed spindles

That's where the advantage of TORX PLUS® with AUTOSERT® comes in. The moving bit grips the stationary screw-head in half the normal time.

The ingenious slightly-angled contact flanks in the TORX PLUS® AUTOSERT® design result in automatic centring and thus extremely rapid contact between the tool and the screw. Because of the rotation and the axial displacement, the bit finds the screw contact without causing any damage. That means the operator can work at much higher speeds than would be possible with conventional systems. The results are obvious: improved productivity and reduced wear-and-tear of special bits.
