Management and supervisory staff have to be more aware of safety at work issues. This is being supported by special themed classes and re-enforced in working groups. We aim to reduce accidents at work and minimise the existing risks by a planned programme of strategic technical and organisational measures, investment in personal safety gear and a fundamental investigation of the causes of accidents when they do occur.
The keystones are the official directives and standards and associated internal operating procedures. These are supported by regular safety audits, risk assessment initiatives and appropriate corrective measures, to help us achieve our core aims.
In order for us to be properly equipped in the event of accidents in the workplace, there is a designated trained emergency officer for every department and plant shift. Again there are easy-to-use emergency call stations situated at 23 separate locations.
Our approach to addressing safety at work is to actively reduce risk factors, e.g. eliminating potential long-term-exposure health hazards, while simultaneously promoting protective action e.g. offering sports facilities and other measures to improve health.
Under the banner of "" we launched an initiative to increase awareness of what safer free-time entails.
