Shoulder to shoulder in the field of mechanical fastening systems

GESIPA and SFS intec will be working together in future. For this purpose SFS intec is acquiring – subject to the approval of the antitrust authorities – the partners’ shares held by the present owners of GESIPA.

GESIPA is a specialist in the field of riveting technology. In 2007 the company generated sales of 108 million euros with some 600 employees. GESIPA has sites at 14 locations in 10 countries. Its headquarters are in Mörfelden-Walldorf, south of Frankfurt am Main.

Following the merger of the two companies under the umbrella of SFS intec Holding they will continue to trade under their existing names and be responsible for their established sphere of business. There will therefore be no changes in management, either at GESIPA or at SFS intec.

Roland Biermann, currently managing partner at GESIPA, will remain with the company and in the course of 2009 will progressively hand over responsibilities to the existing GESIPA management team headed by Thomas Bamberger.

The primary objective of this merger is the reinforcement of both companies’ market position. Riveting technology and threaded fastening systems complement each other ideally in many fields of application. By bundling their market activities SFS intec and GESIPA aim to create ideal conditions for meeting the needs of their customers even more comprehensively in future.
