Complete heat energy supplied by natural gas
SFS intec and SFS services have been heating their premises with natural gas for some years. This non-toxic fuel is so clean that much less pollution is emitted into our air than by other fossil fuels. Considerably less CO2 is produced when it is burned, and this can help to reduce the global warming effect. The transport and distribution of natural gas is also environmentally friendly.

Energy saving in the new heat treatment building
By using timber instead of steel sections for the new heat treatment building at the Heerbrugg site we saved some 373 tonnes of CO2 or more than 1.7 million kWh. This is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of some 230 people in Switzerland.
