As an extension to our familiar cold forming from wire techniques, SFS intec also offers its customers cold forming starting with cut blanks.
The process is ideal for the manufacture of thin-walled components by pressing; and for parts with particularly tight front face surface finish requirements.
As with forming from wire, an excellent grain structure is achieved.
The starting materials are cut or cropped metal pre-forms. As well as "coloured" non-ferrous metals and alloys such as copper and its derivatives, steel and aluminium are very commonly used.
