Construction of supports and panelling

Discover the SFS intec System WS: the revolutionary fastening system with self-drilling dowels for timber/steel conections:

  • low initial investment
  • added value in-house
  • simpler
  • faster
  • more economical
  • more secure..
... capable of constructing load-bearing structures of 30, 40, 50 metres and more!

Advantages of the System WS from SFS intec
  • economy: remarkable reductions in working time due to the reduced number of operations
  • safety: work safely and ergonomically with the aid of the CF WS/M and CF WS/P setting

A satisfyingly simple system, providing long-term quality

System WS is a self-drilling dowel used in constructing multi-layer timber/steel connections. The WS self-drilling dowel, together with the manual setting tool CF WS/M or the frame setting tool CF WS/P and the dimensioning guidelines, are all you need with this revolutionary system.

The dowels are simply inserted through the timber and the steel in a single operation without pre-drilling; saving time and money. Up to three 5 mm steel sheets can be penetrated.

The rear of the wooden surface is not penetrated!

The new System WS from SFS reduces the work to just three steps:

1. Inserting the steel plates2. Adjusting and fixing3. Inserting the fastener

The great advantage: direct insertion means exact contact

No need for:

  • pre-drilling steel
  • pre-drilling wood
  • final adjustments

Dimensioning the connections:

General dimensioning can be based on traditional dowel stack fastening to standards like SIA 164 or DIN 1052 (1998) Part 2; section 5; though the reduced length must be considered. The SFS intec dimensioning sheet is a useful aid.
