Secondary operations

Calibration

Secondary compression after sintering makes it possible to increase the dimensional accuracy of the parts.
The component has a deeper surface roughness on the calibrated face.

Secondary machining

Depending on their mechanical strength, the components can be machined after sintering (turning, milling, drilling, grinding etc.).

Heat treatment

Heat treatment is often the answer to the contradictory requirements placed on the material; namely ductility for cold forming and toughness and hardness in the end product application.

Surface treatment

Sinters can be surface treated with any available process such as plating, wax coating, lubrication coating and now also the chrome VI free treatments.

Sinter integration

Where two different powders are used in the manufacture of a part, we refer to sinter integration. This process combines the two component powders. This technology opens up new possibilities in terms of component design.

Form finishing

A knurl or thread can be added by secondary rolling operations. Our objective is to provide our customers with ready-to-fit components.
