First aid training at SFS

In order to ensure the provision of first aid (immediate life-saving action) in the event of occupational accidents and illness, SFS - together with qualified specialists - trains first aid officers in each department and shift. They are trained professionally in first aid and CPR.
The training programme features a refresher course or instruction in a special field every two years. At present 65 first aid officers are on duty at SFS intec and SFS services. A first aid officer in each department ensures that the first aid boxes are equipped with the appropriate material and the first aid cases at the 20 emergency telephones located
on the site are sealed.

Three fully equipped first aid rooms are currently available on the Rosenbergsau site. All 20 emergency telephone locations are also equipped with a stretcher in addition to the first aid case for the specific department.

"The first critical moments" module

All employees attend a one-hour training module in order to give them a sense of security in dealing with potential patients. All employees can take action if they are directly confronted by an occupational accident or illness. The relevant possibilities are "played out" here with practical examples in order to overcome the sense of helplessness which arises until the
first aid officer or the ambulance takes control on the spot.
