Emergency telephones are available for personnel at more than 20 different locations. Callers are connected immediately with the emergency services control centre in St. Gall at the push of a button. The nearest available ambulance is called up from there immediately.
An ingenious system enables the emergency services control centre to identify via a display the emergency telephone on the SFS site from which the call is coming and thus organise the necessary response. We therefore gain valuable time. The serviceability of the emergency telephones is tested monthly.
Employees are trained systematically in alarm procedures, emergency life-saving action, evacuation and assembly points. All employees are provided with emergency cards in credit card format.
Visitors are provided with rules for conduct in an emergency and outside firms are made aware of potential hazards and the appropriate conduct in advance of their employment on-site. They sign the relevant SFS Guideline.
A special personal emergency call system is available for all personnel working alone.
