Integration of crisis management for hazardous incidents in the BMS
Alarm and evacuation plans, fire protection installations, etc., are now not only required by ISO 14001, but are also a - more or less detailed - component of quality standards (ISO/TS 16949) and EKAS guideline 6508.
Objectives, organisation and precautions for preventing hazardous incidents, accidents or IT emergencies or limiting their impact to a minimum are integrated in Chapter 1 of the BMS. They are described in 1.5 “Risk management/Emergency plans” and set out in detail in various appendices (11 Guidelines, etc.). The following protection goals are defined: company protection, personnel protection, environmental protection, asset protection and protection of production facilities..
