In pressure situations timber has its limits. Localised indentations can be caused by excessive forces.
This danger is present in
- supports
- displaced joints
- T-frame cut-outs
- ...
With their long, efficient threading, System WT fasteners, used in combination with a spreader plate in steel, distribute the forces into the timber section, greatly reducing the problem.
Since the purlin dimensions do not have to be increased to carry the force without indentations, material is saved.
Easy-of-use
The fasteners are inserted quickly. They are invisible and offer a high fire resistance.
System WT fasteners are inserted directly without pre-drilling. We recommend the power drill BO 900 or a commercial drill with an equivalent RPM and power rating for easy fastener insertion. Thanks to the narrow head profile, they can be counter-sunk into the wood.
