Where different hardness are required in the same component, inductive heating is frequently used. This expensive process can, however, be eliminated by the use of duplex materials. The economic advantages are obvious.
In this case the powder is inserted into the dies with a duplex filler.
By making use of the different powder compositions, a component is produced with different metallurgical and mechanical properties.
