ALW clamps

Fulfilling the most demanding requirements in terms of aesthetic appeal
and functionality

The ALW clamping system enables glass facades to be built using special clamps without the need to drill the glass. The slim profile and minimal panel overlap meet the needs of today's architects in terms of both functionality and aestheticallypleasing design.

The holding system is available in standard RAL colours or in anodised versions. This wide choice means that projects can be individually colour-matched.

  • Up to 18 mm glass
  • Minimal glass overlapping
  • No need for drilling glass

Other advantages:
  • Static analysis and authority approval where required
  • System constructed from high-quality aluminium
  • Resistant to weather damage and corrosion
  • Suitable for other materials such as polymer glass substitute
  • Both RAL colours and anodised finishes available
  • Silicone sealing profiles
  • One-off solutions available where required

The new ALW system enables complete glass facades to be built without the need for drilling glass. The panes of glass are simply slotted into the ALW clamps and fastened into place with the clamping profiles. This newly-developed system can handle glass thicknesses from 8 to 18 mm. In addition to standard and laminated safety glass, alternative materials such as acrylic glass can be readily accommodated.

The ALW clamps can be fixed to a range of sub-frames including steel, aluminium and timber.

Two types are available: the single clamps are 70 mm wide, while the double clamps are 140 mm in width.

Bespoke solutions can also be produced to special order.

Concerning building regulations:

Installation of the ALW system is readily approved following submission of detailed static analysis. This saves time and money. The static analysis is available for reference at any time.

Typical applications:
  • Facades, double-skin facades
  • Staircases
  • Lift shafts
  • Viewing terraces
  • Multi-storey car parks and garages
  • Safety screens
  • Sun-protection screens
